Horizontal auger boring

 is work that requires specialized equipment, precision and skill for successful project completion.  FX Infrastructure has the capability necessary for provide professional horizontal auger boring services for many installations including: placement of steel pipe or casing under large and small roads, canals or railroad tracks to carry water lines, sewer lines, irrigation lines, etc.

How it works:

A rotating cutting head cuts through dirt and rock while the fill is continually moved by means of an auger through the casing which will remain underground. After this, lines for water or sewage can be easily installed. This method is efficient, economical, and environmentally friendly since it does not require trenches or road removal eliminating disruption of terrain as well as detour managment.

For set up we typically start by digging the bore pit to the required length and shoring the walls when needed.
After we set the boring machine in the pit, the auger is put into the casing and while the machine turns the cutting head, the casing is jacked into the bore path. In addition, debris must be removed to continue with cutting

Capabilities:  Bores range in diameter from 4” to 48″ with lengths as long as 880′.
